Incroyable mais vrai van Quentin Dupieux (Rubber, Mandibules), een Belgisch-Franse coproductie, werd geselecteerd voor de Berlinale Special Gala-sectie. Ook This Much I Know to Be True, een docu over Nick Cave en Warren Ellis van Andrew Dominik (The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford), en Terminal Norte, de nieuwe film van Lucrecia Martel (Zama), haalden de selectie.
